There will be a Antique and Flea Market held in Vinton on September 10th and 11th, at the Benton County Fairgrounds (1801 2nd ve. Vinton).Dealers will feature vintage, repurposed, primitive, antiques, as well as flea market treasures.You'll find everything from A to Z.The flea market will run on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a. 36th Annual Vinton Cruise September 11
The 36th Annual Vinton Car Cruise is scheduled for Saturday, September 11. The map for the crusie is included in the pictures. Registration takes place on the day of the event with a cost of $10 in front of the Courthouse beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The first 400 receive a dashboard plaque, no early registrations must register on the day of the event. The Benton County Assistance Fair, hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach at the Benton County Fairgrounds, is bringing together organizations and businesses from across the county to provide the information people need.
BENTON CO. SAFETY DAY CAMP TO TEACH FARM SAFETY TO 3RD - 6TH GRADE SEPTEMBER 25
Preventing injuries in youth is the aim of the annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day Camp in Benton County. This free event will feature 10 safety stations. All 3rd through 6th graders in Benton and Linn County are invited to attend Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Benton County Fairgrounds from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Fish Fry this Friday September 10
This Friday, September 10, the Vinton American Legion will hold a fish fry dinner at the American George G. Luckey Post in Vinton. 2021 Nathan's Miles Glow Fun Run October 16
We are proud to announce the Kickoff Event of the new VPRD Fall Festival on Saturday, October 16th....Nathan's Miles Glow Fun Run 5K!!! This is a great, affordable family event. Come out and run the first 5K to be held on Nathan's Miles. There will be a Kids Glow Run at 6:30 pm, and then the 5K begins at 7:30 pm. You can register for the event at the link below.
CP Historical Society Cemetery Walk September 19
On Sunday, September 19, the Center Point Historical Society will host its Annual Cemetery Walk, at the Center Point Cemetery, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Admission for the event is $5. In case of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, October 3, at 4:00 p.m.
Vinton Guild of Fine Arts hosts Workshop for Artists and Community Planners
The Vinton Guild of Fine Arts will be hosting a workshop for artists and community planners about mural painting. It will be an all-day workshop (10 am - 3 pm) on Saturday, Sept. 25th, at Pourville (location dependent on numbers and COVID). The workshop will provide tips and techniques for creating large exterior murals and for planning, budgeting, and funding them, including preparation and materials.
Reunion to be held for Founders and Alum of the Old Creamery Theatre Company
Come celebrate, in Garrison, Iowa, the founding of The Old Creamery Theatre Company 50 years ago. Sponsored by those founding members who are still alive and kicking. The celebration is open to anyone who worked at, attended, or contributed to the success of The Creamery since 1971, including former company members, board members, attendees, and volunteers.
