Chains Interrupted to hold Informational Meeting on Human Trafficking August 5
Garrison Emergency Services along with Tish Young from Chains Interrupted will be hosting an Informational Meeting on Human Trafficking.We have opened this up for all Benton County Emergency Services as well as residents of Benton County.Please join us to learn how to understand the indicators of human trafficking, how it's on the rise and the second largest criminal industry in the world.
CENTER POINT HISTORICAL SOCIETY’S LOG CABIN FESTIVAL PLANNED FOR AUGUST 22
The Center Point Historical Society's Log Cabin Festival is back and basic for 2021, celebrating the 1850s Strait Log Cabin and old-fashioned handwork and play. The free family event is 2 to 4, Sunday, August 22, at 700 E. Washington, on the Cedar Valley Nature Trail.Besides touring the log cabin, you can try your hand at rope making, corn shelling and washing on a washboard.

"Welcome to Medicare" meeting set for August 19th
SHIIP will be sponsoring a "Welcome To Medicare" meeting at First Christian Church (1209 W 13th St) on August 19th from 6-8 pm. You must register by August 11th. To reserve your spot call 319-472-2544 or call SH IP at 800-351-4664 and mention the Benton County meeting. If you are approaching Medicare age and need some understanding, this will be an excellent opportunity for you.
AMVETS Food Trailer to be at Theisen's on Friday and Saturday, July 23rd & 24th
Area AMVETS will be grilling brats and hot dogs, in the Theisen's parking lot on Friday and Saturday this week. Also included in the meal will be chips, soda or water. Serving will begin at 11 a.m.The cost - Freewill Donation. Come on out and support the AMVETS!
